Robert Cooper
Course Director

Robert Cooper has been teaching English and Drama in the Universities of Glasgow, Strathclyde and Paisley for the past three decades. He has also taught several Shakespeare courses with the Open University.

The concept of the Shakespeare Alive theatrical experience grew out of his knowledge and love of the plays of William Shakespeare and a desire to share these in an informal and fun way with other Shakespeare fans.

The Experience

The seminars explore the main themes of the play as well as discussions on key scenes and lastly a summary and evaluation.

The backstage tours help to give an insight into the mechanics of the production and surely add to the magic of the whole occasion.

Last, but not least, this is an opportunity to meet and get to know like minded Shakespeare enthusiasts.

Many who come on the Shakespeare Alive theatrical experience regularly return and meet up with friends they have met at previous experiences.
